March is still the month in which we celebrate Women’s History and women making it happen.

I’ve been so lucky to be surrounded by so many ladies that have been making a name for themselves and thriving in every area of their lives…. and they still take some time to ask: “hey! how can I serve you?,” and I’m so grateful for them.

When I was first starting out as an entertainment journalist in a major media publication and I had to be on-camera every day, my contact list, connections, ‘following’ (and budget) to be able to look presentable for my interviews was non-existent. Before I freaked out, I asked myself: “who do I know that could give me a hand?.”

I started asking around until I came across a woman who is one of my dearest friends to this day, a fellow media personality who introduced me to her wardrobe stylist. We had just met a few days before and I was surprised by her humble response to just want to help me. She just connected me to her “girl” and sent me off to have a new relationship with someone who was there for me every step of the way.

Ever since I’ve learned the value of connection and why women stand next to each other for support, I’m even more motivated to pay it forward and promote the amazing work they do as well.
