A new study has revealed that having a clean home will make you feel much happier.

A survey across the United States measured reactions such as friendliness, productivity, and stress against cleanliness. And, guess what!? Doing housework keeps your body, mind, and soul’s energy in order.

Doing more of the things that make you feel at peace will help you feel less stressed and more productive. As you keep reading, you’ll find five different reasons why I’m a big fan of keeping a spotless home.

For example, I love a clean bathroom, and my mirrors are always changing messages. (I write little notes and affirmations with lipstick on them to help motivate me daily).

So, to clean up the daily mess I use naturally-derived cleaning products like Art of Green® wipes, priced at $2.99, and sprays, priced at $2.79, that are safe for sensitive skin. Plus, they smell so good!

Here are five reasons why having a clean home benefits your overall well being.

PUT YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER, CLEAR YOUR MIND

The absence of visual noise and clutter keeps your mind and your mood positive, helping to reduce your anxiety. Ah! And you will snack less between meals. The ‘should haves’ disappear from our heads and we apply that much-needed self-love we always talk about. More time for you, guilt-free.

IT’S ALL ABOUT A HEALTHY SPIRIT

IT’S NOT A SPORT, BUT ALMOST…

The World Health Organization recommends doing some type of physical activity during the week in order to “improve cardiorespiratory and muscle functions and bone health and reduce the risk of NCDs and depression,” including exercise and sports, but you can also get your cardio in by doing housework. (Play some fun music in the background!)

IT HELPS YOU CONCENTRATE

Consciously cleaning and ordering helps to focus the mind on what you are doing, it is like a kind of domestic mindfulness. Now that we’re working from home, it feels so nice to start working on a spotlessly clean surface! Doesn’t it?

IMPROVES YOUR OVERALL HEALTH

People who take more care of themselves and are physically active take more care of their homes too. Those who keep their homes cleaner were more active people and, therefore, in better general health.

Whether you’re very fond of cleaning or not so much, you can start with small steps getting into the habit of sanitizing and wiping your favorite areas in the house. You can use products that are non-toxic, tough on grease and grime, and that safe for the environment, like Art of Green multi-surface cleaner.

I hope you guys enjoyed these tips and apply every one of them.  And remember to use products that protect the planet. Look for products that are made with sustainable ingredients, packaging that is recyclable and made from post-consumer recycled plastic, and companies like AlEn USA who are committed to building a cleaner and more sustainable world.

Until next post,
